Because werewolf decks are creature-heavy, cards like Reckless Stormseeker/Storm-Charged Slasher, Howlpack Piper/Wildsong Howler, The Great Henge and Beast Whisperer also get you a lot of extra value from each of your creatures
After having this card out for 3-4 turns, you should be guaranteed to have 12 counters on it
Angelsong combats this with cycling, allowing you to see an additional card when you need something more substantial than a turns respite
It was the first base set to contain cards from black-bordered sets other than Alpha and Beta
So if you want to play a Minnie Mouse Always Classy you need to pay one ink
The way they grayscaled the cards didn't help either, looking dark and murky, especially when compared to mockups made by others, like this one a friend of mine shared on Twitter: Someone in my server took the 20 seconds to up the brightness just a bit and look at the difference it made
