Growing to 6 ft tall with dark, mahogany stems and fuzzy, rounded leaves tinted purple striking, bright red flowers that begin in late spring and continue until the first hard frost possibly all winter long. Needs good drainage and occasional summer water in sun to part shade. Dies back in colder winters and can be cut back to 2 3" in spring. Frost hardy to 5F, USDA
