That card is so powerful, but they thought that adding an absolutely backbreaking drawback was enough to make such an ability balanced
Keep in mind that revealing a card doesn't cause it to change zones
That said, it can take out indestructible and otherwise difficult-to-kill creatures, and comes in at a very reasonable four mana, making it a great option if you're going heavy on board wipes in mono-black
So the fundamentals are strong, and more importantly they're fun
