While reading this thread (and yes, I read lots of Magic threads including ones not on our site), I realized that I havent really talked much about ability words and why we use them
Admittedly, not many players are sleeving up their copy of Defiant Bloodlord because theyre in desperate need of a seven-mana 4/5 to top off their curve
Its still not a cheap card, selling for $304.17 at the time of writing
Some of the best apes on this list can cost a decent amount of mana, so you should get your green ramp cards like Sylvan Caryatid, Oracle of Mul Daya, and Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea ready
This one is pretty great, as it's not hard at all to get counters on this even without the adapt ability
