Spotted Size:Medium Some of the dunes nearThe dolphins along the Kona Coast of Hawaii's Big Island spend the day in shallow sandy bottom bays they rest there in pods of fifty or more, then move offshore at night to hunt the deep scattering layer. Jeremy was in the water for about an hour with this pod; the dolphins approached at their own pace, and once they were comfortable, came in close enough to make eye contact.
