The upper body features repousse decoration with roses, a cross, and the circular "AA" insignia of the 82nd "All American" Division, all set against a stippled background. The text "Souvenir from Verdun 1918" is worked around the circumference. A scalloped border separates the decorated upper section from the fluted lower body. The rim band is decorated with a
