but I wanted a more viscous look

Its as if each part of the bird has been boldly painted with a brush. I wanted to play off the name painted bunting and showcase the bright beauty of this bird. I thought it only fitting to have him perched on a paintbrush. I wanted to utilize a white front crown color blocking to reference the blank canvas before being painted on.
