Altanak costs seven mana to play, which is a lot, but another card in Duskmourn, Say Its Name, requires only two mana
Magic: The Gathering can be an intensely competitive game that attracts chess-player minds to sling spells against one another in international tournaments
Vexing Scuttler can get either one back if thats relevant, so I dont see a need for more than one
That alone makes it a powerful card, as having equipment be a creature before you pay to attach it to something else gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility
I know I was down on a handful of these cards, but honestly, I am absolutely elated by this set
