Sure, basic lands have their place, but it's far more satisfying (and powerful) to play a shock land or fetch land rather than a vanilla Island or Plains

The cool thing about this card is that it doesnt have to be four color, it can also fit in Grixis or Sultai decks, but it also allows you to build four colored commander decks around it
