Jace Reawakened and Aven Interrupter have abilities that can plot a card while its not your turn or when theres something on the stack already

If your opponent has a powerful character on the field and you are struggling to beat it, Be Prepared can be a great solution

How you play with/against summons varies immensely on a per game basis
