VIKING WARRIOR’S RING C.850-1050 AD, SIZE 9 1/4 12/27/2022 size 2 for a woman’sGilt bronze, size 9 . Flat band of tapered width, 3. 5 6. 2mm with a flat surface and perhaps a minimal central decoration, now obscured. The form is of the heavy warriors rings as our B5013, but simpler and lighter. Probably made for youth training as a warrior. Made with a core filling the inside which distributed the flowing metal and allowed for slower cooling. The core was then laboriously removed by hand and the inside of the ring polished.
