In this cards case it actually can get bigger and might be a great fit in your spellslinging EDH deck

Tapping down 5 lands for 5 turns in a row to win with a Colonnade is a fairly common route to victory for conrtol decks already and that is a lot of turns without access to that much mana where things can go pear shaped for you

It enters tapped, taps for black, and can tap and exile itself to mill four and return a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield

While Im okay with the latter if it comes down to it, I do tend to find that its not uncommon for this to trigger again and again, allowing you to put lands onto the battlefield against players who are ramping aggressively - You can even pair this card with Weathered Wayfarer to always find your best lands and put them directly into play
